Process
A collection of my shared processes
I did this study to get a better feeling to recognize colors with the naked eye as well as to mix them myself. I didn't succeed 100%, but I will continue to practice it! :)
In the end I tried to correct the colors with filters, but I discarded it. The reference is a picture from me taken in Prague.
This time I worked with the right primary colours and I personally noticed this when mixing haha. Once again I was not interested in a 1:1 copy of the reference, but in the correct recognition of the colour tones and the mixing of these tones. This time I also tried to pay more attention to values.
The reference is again a picture from me.
"Chromatic Echoes"
This is my very first picture I drew for this internet persona.
I really like clouds, water, the sky with its colors and especially dusks. The possibilities seem to be limitless in the gap of day and night.
As you may can see this illustrations is not finished due to my workflow. I am already trying to fix my problem with my new illustration and I want to revisit this painting later to render this guy properly.
"Sleeping in the Deep"
I've made this artwork for a friend in 2017, since he asked me to draw something. So, I did this.
Back then I mainly tried to focus on composition and contrast. The waves, clouds, her gesture and hair - everything should led the viewer to the face of this girl.
I also tried to add some storytelling aspects as wells. For example the connection with her necklace and shoes.
Furthermore I worked with Paint Tool SAI 2 and Photoshop CS6 for this and even though it has line art I still like this one a lot!
"Billie Eilish Portrait"
Originally, I did this piece in private for practice. But I thought I could share here as well, since I am pretty happy about the outcome.
"Moisturize"
This was my first (serious) attempt to paint something in my style, while also using a Asaro head reference. I am aware that this painting still has errors, however I do believe it is better for me to distance myself from this painting and possibly tackle these errors after a while.
It took me around 3 hours and 40 minutes to paint this in Procreate.
